  • Student clubs at East Meck are carrying the tobacco free message through their club work this year
  • North Carolina Project ASSIST is working with East Meck in it´s effort to be tobacco free

Is anything working...?

  • Last month over 40 East Meck students wanted to attend smoking cessation classes
  • Right now the first group of 12 students is attending a series of classes to help them STOP personal tobacco use - CONGRATULATIONS to them!
  • Over 300 tobacco surveys were distributed at Open House in September with a 26% return
  • Among the parents surveyed, 22% did not know that tobacco use at school violates federal law HR 1804 Sec 1041 "Pro-Children Act of 1994" - we´ll work to keep you informed!

What can you do...?
